TRiLOGI" is the name of the ladder or ladder BASIC programming software for the E, H and M-series of PLCs.
Ladder logic consists of horizontal Rungs and Instructions embedded between vertical Rails on either side. Rungs house instructions which are referenced by tags or variables. When a PLC executes a program, it must know, in real-time, when external devices controlling a process are changing. During the Program Scan Cycle, the PLC reads the inputs, solves the Ladder Logic, and energizes (or de-energizes) outputs. Because inputs can change at any time, this process repeats over and over again while the PLC is in RUN mode.
